SIGHTS AND SOUNDS AT A BAZAAR- CHARITY BAZAAR 2013

I still recall one fine morning two years ago when I flipped open my mid-year examination paper and there was a question topic for essay writing: Describe the sights and sounds at a Bazaar.

Well, I think my English teachers would be glad to know that finally I can write one after 2 years, what with a really hyper Charity Bazaar we’ve had this year.

This year’s Charity Bazaar was to be a big scale event. And when I say big scale, it was REALLY big scale. Each class had tables for a games stall and a food stall, different from those last year. CCAs such as Gamelan and ELDDS also participated in this year’s charity bazaar, not forgetting the Parent Support Group.

The noise at the canteen was really loud and it was hard for anyone to talk over the secondary two students’ yelling to promote their stalls. Food sold at the Bazaar included marshmallow and bananas threaded on sticks and dipped in chocolate fondue, popcorn, brownies and even satay!

Games included the ever-so-popular Nerf gun and lucky draws that went on. At the ELDDS booth, my juniors and I tried to attract people to come over, simply just to follow EVG Vibes on Facebook or follow on Twitter, and they get a lollipop. ALL FOR FREE. Why people don’t want to do it I don’t exactly know myself. We also recruited freelancers to write articles and become the next generation of Vibers.

This bazaar was really fun as compared to last year, when I was the one yelling for others to come over to our stall.

Okay, done. English teachers, are you happy now? *smiles*
