A couple of weeks before the annually held charity bazaar, the secondary 2 classes presented about their stall to the entire school, what they sold and why their stall was the best one. On the day of the charity bazaar, the guest of honour sounded the gong and the charity bazaar was officially declared open! Could this day be even better? I really think so! The charity bazaar was a success. We raised about five-thousand dollars for the Children’s Charities Association, the largest amount Evergreen Secondary had raised in history.
The Secondary Two Classes set up 2 stalls each, one food stall and one non-food stall. Most of the non-food stalls set up by the Secondary Two’s were game stalls. There was even one class that brought a game console and let the students play games on it! Some stalls sold savoury food such as 2 Respect’s Hot Dog Buns and 2 Integrity’s Buttery Popcorn! The most attractive stall was 2 Integrity’s Food Stall as they sold combo meals such as Butter Popcorn with “KOI” milk bubble tea! Every teenager I know likes milk tea and 2 Integrity cleverly earned loads of cash (I mean, coupons) by selling the food using this combination. I went down to have a try to see if the combo meal was good. Words cannot describe how wonderful the popcorn and milk tea was! It sure was worth the coupons. 2 Commitment sold satay sticks which also tasted awesome as each individual piece of chicken was delicious, firm and tender. The Charity Bazaar is indeed an unforgettable event. I think the secondary 1 students will have more to look forward to next year!
