Are you the type to drink coffee habitually? When you wake up in the morning, when you pull an all-nighter, is coffee a must for you? Lots of people tend to drink coffee, in fact, so often that people think it’s good for you. However, to what extent does it really benefit you? Do you know? Coffee actually provides protection against various diseases. For instance, Parkinson’s disease, liver disease and liver cancer. However, high consumption of unfiltered coffee has been linked with mild rises in cholesterol levels. Adding on to the above, high levels of coffee intake per day can increase the risk of heart disease in people whose body’s caffeine breakdown is slowed due to a specific genetic mutation. People also often add cream and sugar to coffee with the excuse that coffee is too bitter. This act, however, just adds up more calories. Not all things healthy taste nice. An example of healthy and, yet, very much appetizing drinks would be various fruit juices. Do you fancy a cuppa? Some love coffee, yet tea may just be the drink for others. Tea is overall a better choice than coffee since it has lesser caffeine and provides much more benefit to the soul. Tea helps to keep your smile bright and your spirit lively. Tea can also help to calm and soothe your mind.

Drinking tea is a flavourful way of getting enough fluid in your body. On top of that, it also helps to lose weight! Wonderful, right? However, as great as tea gets, drinking more than a gallon per day is actually really harmful. Although consuming tea generally helps stave off cancer, drinking more than 7 cups a day gives you the opposing disadvantage. Taking in too much tea increases your chances of getting prostate cancer by 50%! That’s unbelievable, but drinking just enough should keep you safe, with its antioxidant properties. Not too much coffee, not too much tea. I love coffee or tea, but some days, coffee just isn’t my cup of tea. Enjoy your drink!
